The working process of the common rail system
Fuel supply: The fuel pump draws diesel from the fuel tank and
pumps it to the high-pressure common rail at high pressure. The
high-pressure common rail stores the high-pressure fuel to keep the
fuel in a high-pressure state.
Fuel injection control: The ECU calculates the appropriate fuel
quantity and injection timing based on the engine operating
conditions monitored by sensors, such as engine speed, load, air
temperature, etc., and then sends control signals to the fuel
injectors.
